Sometimes DBH is just too intellectual in his writings and is too cute by one. I know that he is a VERY smart man and a serious believer. That is why I value a 'review' or critique of his work, because I'm probably not going to slog thru his books. The effort and expense required to digest his vast vocabulary and deep thought is, in my opinion, better spent and invested on a writer with an "ST" in front of their name like the Gregory's of Nyssa and Palamas, Maximus the Confessor or Ignatius Brianchaninov, but that is just me. Hart's The Experience of God sent me know a path of exploring Vedanta metaphysics, which has enriched my thinking considerably.
